| CAPPY PRUETT STOCKDOG CLINIC cattle - June 2 & 3 sheep - June 4 - 7, 2010 Whether you are interested in competition in the trial levels or just learning how to train your dog to help you with handling livestock on a daily basis, it takes a relationship between the handler and the dog. Understanding the dog, the livestock and the situation both of you are in is a very important part of handling livestock proficiently and quietly.
I work at teaching you how to train your dog to handle livestock on a quiet, calm basis. I like to see a dog working the stock while listening and responding to the handler.
It does not matter if you are a novice beginner or an accomplished handler. A person never quits learning something when it comes to managing dogs and livestock. I have worked with many different trainers myself, and I still attend clinics and private lessons to broaden my abilities in working with my own dogs and with those I teach.

DIRECTIONS TO SHERMAN, NY - cattle clinic
Railspur Arena -
FROM WEST - I-90 to I-86 East
Travel I-86 to exit 6 Sherman
Make a LEFT on Osborne, then a LEFT onto Main Street. First street on RIGHT is Church, just past the Sherman Hotel - Make a Right on Church then a Right onto PARK. About a mile down Park will be the Railspur Arena - on right. Watch for signs. The arena comes up fast & you can't see it, as it is down into a valley.
FROM EAST - I-90 to exit 60. Make a LEFT off the ramp and follow Rt 394 to Mayville. In Mayville, watch for signs for Rt 430. Make a Right onto Rt 430. Follow to Sherman. At the intersection of Rt 430 & Park St make a Right. The Town Highway garages are on the corners and a cemetary is opposite. The Railspur arena is a short distance down on the LEFT.
